Call for papers
This call is addressed to graduate students and doctors in philosophy who finished their PhDs during the last 3 years. Submitted papers should address some philosophical issue and be written in English, Catalan or Spanish. There is no restriction regarding topics or areas in philosophy. Every paper accepted will be presented at the workshop (45 minutes) followed by critical comments (15 minutes) and an open discussion (30 minutes). Those interested can take part in the workshop as speakers and/or as commentators.
Every applicant should send an extended abstract of 2000 to 2500 words sketching the claims defended in the paper and the arguments provided in their support to <firstname.lastname@example.org>. To ensure blind refereeing, they should send their personal data -full name, e-mail address, title of their contribution, name of the university to which they belong and short CV- in a separate document. Every paper will be evaluated by two members of the scientific committee, and the final selection will be made by the organizing committee.
Those interested in elaborating a comment should send their personal data to <email@example.com>, together with a description of the main areas attracting their interest.
Papers can be submitted until the 5th November 2015, and applicants will receive an answer by the 1th December 2015. Final versions should be sent before the 4th January 2016.
The XVIII TIF is organized by Laura García-Portela (UV) and Javier Ruiz Moscardó (UV), and supported by the Department of Methaphysics and Theory of Knowledge, with the collaboration of the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the Universitat de València.
